Alastair Cochrane
Global CEO
Alastair was educated both in the US and South Africa. In 1977 he joined Brooke Bond as a graduate trainee in South Africa, where he held various Marketing and Sales positions.
He joined the Unilever Group in 1980 and enjoyed an eight year career, the last three years as the Customer Director for the Personal Care business. In 1988, he joined the Board of the Beacon Group, the largest confectionery company in South Africa, during which time he started a separate concessionaire distribution business which increased penetration into new channels.
In 1997 Alastair joined Glendinning in Europe and consulted globally across a variety of categories and clients. His role has included developing Glendinning's operations in Asia Pacific and the USA. He is based back in Europe as the Global CEO for the Glendinning Group.
Alastair is married to Riki and has two lovely daughters, Stephanie and Lara. He runs to keep fit and plays a bad game of golf as an excuse to have a pint with the boys.
